Jordan To Launch JD100 Million Solar Panel Manufacturing Plant Near Queen Alia International Airport

An announcement was made during a panel discussion at the Dead Sea that a solar panel manufacturing plant worth JD100 million will be inaugurated later this year, situated to the southeast of the Queen Alia International Airport.

This plant, which falls under the semiconductor sector, is a domestic venture in Jordan and will occupy a land area of 130 dunums. It is anticipated to generate around 520 job openings.

The event at the Dead Sea marks a year since the introduction of the national economic and public sector modernization vision by the government.

Also, in 2024, Jordan is set to finalize a fresh comprehensive energy strategy, incorporating novel initiatives to amplify renewable energy output and establish green hydrogen power facilities, as per statements from a Jordanian official.
